Dear
Rob
I feel a post retirement letter would be a great idea
to thank you for your solid support and help whilst
running my small business from start to retirement.
After working in the construction industry for 38 years
giving faithful service to many different contractors,
I was made redundant for the first time in my life at
the age of 53. I decided not to look for further employment
but to continue in the construction industry on a self
employed basis, hopefully to the retirement age of 65.
On the recommendation of a friend who ran his own small
business I arranged a meeting with you, we talked over
my plans for the future, and you introduced me to a
very helpful bank manager, and within a very short time
my business was up and running. I successfully traded
for 12 years without a hitch and finally sold my business
on when retiring at age 65.
Your company looked after my annual accounts and personal
tax affairs, and you or a member of your staff were
always available when I needed some sound advice and
encouragement throughout those 12 years.
On reflection your expertise in accounting and financial
matters together with my sound knowledge of my trade
and the construction industry in general made a success
of my business, and I am pleased that you remain a good
friend today. |
