Rob Keller ACA

Rob attended the University of the West of England in Bristol, where he gained a Distinction in the Foundation course in Accountancy. He completed his training with a six-partner firm based in Bristol, passing his professional exams in 1983. He subsequently became a qualified Chartered Accountant at the age of 23.

After joining a sole practitioner in Weston for two years to gain an all-round general knowledge of practice life, Rob returned to Bristol as an audit manager in 1986, assisting in all aspects of managing an office and a large audit team.

On 1st February 1989, he commenced full-time in practice as Keller & Co, with just forty clients. The practice expanded rapidly during the first year, and has continued to flourish from its base in Frampton Cotterell. The business currently acts for approximately 900 local companies and tax clients, and employs eighteen staff. There are seven qualified accountants supporting the director, ensuring that all clients have access to a professional adviser at all times.

Described once as an ‘off the wall’ accountant, Rob adopts a personal and friendly approach to all clients, offering tax planning and adding value to both new and existing businesses.

The practice has built up an enviable reputation over many years, and the majority of all new clients are recommended through the existing client base.

Outside of working hours, Rob’s interests include playing golf (whenever time allows) at various courses throughout the South West and Europe, watching Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band and listening to their music, travelling and supporting Bristol Rovers FC.
